- Lot Description
Tin/sheet metal military campaign dark lantern with curved bonnet top. Features: diamond-pattern ventilation slots, three glass panels protected by X-pattern wire guards, hinged rear door with brass clasp, parabolic reflector disc for directional light projection, brass oil burner with wick mechanism, oil fill port with brass cap, period wire bail carrying handle. All glass panels intact.
U.S. Army dark/signal/inspector's lantern. Directional design used for signaling, officer inspections, and provost guard nighttime patrol. The parabolic reflector is the defining feature - focuses beam forward while concealing light from other angles.Dimensions: 14.5" tall x 8.5" wide x 6.5" deep.
This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $60.00.
