Tightly woven coiled basket of rounded form with gently flaring sides and flat base. Constructed in fine vegetal fibers with a warm honey-brown ground, decorated with repeating dark geometric motifs arranged in horizontal bands along the interior and exterior. The design features stepped and diamond-like elements typical of Western Native American basketry traditions.
The weaving is even and compact, with well-executed stitch work and a neatly finished rim. The form and materials suggest a California or Great Basin origin, though a more specific tribal attribution is not offered.
Dimensions: 13” Wide. 6.5” High

Overall good condition consistent with age and use. The basket remains structurally sound with tight, even weaving throughout. There is minor surface wear and light abrasion to the fibers, particularly along the rim and high points. A small area of restoration or reinforcement is present at the rim, visible as a localized repair to the coil wrapping. Scattered minor fiber fraying and slight discoloration from handling and age. No significant losses, breaks, or structural instability observed.
