- Lot Description
Early tin litho Ruhstaller's Gilt Edge Lager beer advertising charger. This charger displays a man and woman relaxing on a bench sharing a beer. The woman appears to be holding a bottle opener while the man offers her a beer. The top of the sign reads "Ruhstaller's Gilt Edge Lager Sacramento, Cal. Best Beer Brewed". This piece shows a signature "V. Alburi" to the right of the stool the man sits on. Made by the H.D. Beach Lithograph company.
Ruhstaller Beer was founded by Swiss marksman, Captain Frank Ruhstaller, in 1881. At this time, this was the third brewery Ruhstaller had opened and would be his most successful business venture.
Dimensions: 23 7/8" diameter.
