- Lot Description
Hand-formed pottery vessels comprising a larger globular jar and a smaller miniature form. The larger example has a wide shoulder and broad circular mouth, with exterior decoration in polychrome featuring stylized geometric and curvilinear motifs in black and red on a buff ground; additional painted elements to the underside. The smaller vessel is of rounded form with a central aperture, similarly decorated in polychrome with geometric and abstract motifs.
Dimensions: Larger jar: 6 in. high × 11 in. wide; 6 1/2 in. mouth diameter. Smaller vessel: 2 in. high × 3.75 in. diameter
This lot may be picked up free of charge from our facilities in Sacramento, CA. Processing and shipping within the Continental US $65.00. All FedEx packages are sent with Direct Signature Required and insured at full replacement value for a fee of 1.5% of the purchase price, unless buyer accepts complete liability in writing. Condition: Larger jar with a significant rim chip and associated crack, and an additional smaller chip and crack; otherwise general surface wear consistent with handling. Smaller vessel in overall good condition with minor wear.
