- Lot Description
Attributed to B. Prabha, Indian, 1933 to 2001, oil on canvas painting. The artwork depicts two young women. Signed and dated 1992 to the left. Unframed. The piece comes with a certificate. Prabha started working at a time when India had few women artists. She was deeply inspired by the work of seminal modernist Amrita Sher-Gil. Much like Sher-Gil, the protagonists of Prabhas works were usually women. She was moved by the plight of rural women, and over time, they became the main theme of her work. Purchaser understands, acknowledges, and agrees that any Lot won from ANTIQUE ARENA must be picked up within fourteen (14) days of the auction date. Purchasers who have not collected their Lots within fourteen (14) days, will be charged storage fees of $5.00 per Lot, per day. Additional fees apply to oversized lots.
In the event the property is not removed from ANTIQUE ARENA's premises within one hundred and eighty (180) days the property may be offered for sale to recover any past due fees and expenses incurred in connection with such sale, including storage and moving fees, attorney's fees and expenses, and a 25% seller's commission.
