Native American, Northwestern United States or Canada, Aleut, Yupik, or Inuit people, ca. mid-20th century CE. A gorgeous, lidded basket handmade from tightly woven beach grass to present a spherical body, a circular rim, and a conical, snuggly-fit lid with a large, knob-form handle, all sitting upon a planar base. Boasting hues of almond, flamingo pink, periwinkle, green, blue, and rose taupe, the beautiful basket is adorned with several columns of charming canine and duck-like animals along the exterior of its body, while a pattern of spiraling rectangles embellishes the lid. Size: 13" in diameter x 13" H (33 cm x 33 cm)
