Condition
Xray images show that the very top of the helmet has been restored / stabilized possibly missing central knob popular on helmets of this type and often added in iron or other metals; otherwise helmet is in fine condition. Approximately 95% original material. The cheek flaps are not connected to the body of the helmet as the hinge was likely made of iron and was lost to the ages.
