Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Colima, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A beautiful ensemble of blackware seed beads, obsidian flints, and a jade pendant strung as a wearable necklace! Dozens of petite seed beads hand made from pottery with 10 knapped obsidian flints in eccentric shapes are evenly strung along the length. At the central is a green jade pendant, pierced through the top for suspension. All is strung in modern times and wearable as a unique statement piece! Size of strand doubled: 14" L (35.6 cm); jade pendant bead: 1" L x 0.75" W (2.5 cm x 1.9 cm)
