• Lot Description
  Western Europe, France, ca. last half of 20th century CE. This collection, in a pattern known as "Arlequin" features 69 pieces of sterling silver flatware and cutlery from the renowned French Chambly Tableware. This set is a perfect addition for collectors and connosuer seeking quality craftsmanship. Unlike most flatware made by Chambly, this set is sterling silver, not plated. The only exception is the blades of the knife set. There are 12 place settings, each consisting of 5 pieces (2 table forks, 1 tablespoon, 1 dessert spoon, and 1 butter knife), plus 9 serving utensils.
  
  The total number of each piece is as follows: 24 table forks, 12 dessert spoons, 12 tablespoons, 12 butter knives, 1 carving knife, 4 large serving spoons, 1 carving fork, 1 pastry or fish fork, 1 salad serving fork, and 1 pie knife. Size of table forks : 8" L x 1" W (20.3 cm x 2.5 cm); tablespoons: 6" L x 1.2" W (15.2 cm x 3 cm); dessert spoons: 7.5" L x 1.5" W (19 cm x 3.8 cm); butter knifes: 9" L x 0.75" W (22.9 cm x 1.9 cm); carving knife: 11" L x 1" W (27.9 cm x 2.5 cm); large serving spoons: 9.5" L x 2" W (24.1 cm x 5.1 cm)
  
  This set has been thoroughly tested using XRF technology. Results show each piece to be sterling silver.

  Used condition, with dark patina and oxidation, but all are cleanable. Some scratches and nicks from use, but great condition.
