A beautiful watercolor by Kirby Roll depicting an adobe mission church in the American Southwest. Roll painted this scene with impressive realism, presenting adobe walls that appear to exist in harmony with the surrounding natural landscape, and a striking white dome with a cross-topped cupola atop rising toward the skies above. Kirby Roll is a Utah native who lives and works in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is best known for painting landscapes throughout the western United States in both watercolor and oil paint. Signature at lower right. Watercolor is mounted in a custom double matte and wood frame under plexiglass. It has not been examined outside the frame but appears to be in excellent condition. A few minor scuffs/marks to the plexiglass. Fit with suspension wire and ready to display.
