• Lot Description
  A loose fitting, straight sided blouse, I call this design 'hitoe,' which means unlined. This versatile top can be worn on its own, like a blouse, or over something else like a light weight jacket.

  Sewn from a beautiful vintage kimono silk with a design of small black 'kick' or, chrysanthemums, with red centers. The open collar shows a black and white silk with tiny cherry blossoms with their own small red centers. The contrasting black sleeves can be rolled up to reveal the same fabric used inside the collar. 5 black glass buttons line the front.

  Garments measures 48 inches bust, 52 inches hips, length at center back 25 inches. Size large. [Approximate industry size 16-18.]

  All pieces are hand made one at a time in my Portland, Oregon studio. Fabrics are vintage Japanese silks. The very special fabrics used in this 'hitoe' were woven, stenciled and tie-dyed by Japanese artisans and sewn into kimonos. Others were stored as bolts on their way to become a kimono.

  Each piece I make is unique, most are one of a kind. I ship USPS priority at the beginning of the week.
