Oil on canvas.Jay McDermott is a Provincetown painter and a member of the 2026 AFCC artist cohort. Drawn to color block and hard edge composition, he uses the simplicity and clarity of line and boundary to generate abstract imagery. His motivation is a desire for a stable truth in a time of constant duplicity with public deceit as the norm.
