• Lot Description
  Classic hour glass inspired burl wood veneered case with marquetry inlays. 6 1/2" brass dial with period style inset porcelain plaques for all chapters, labeled with Roman numerals. Skeleton trefoil hour hand, with arrow tipped minute hand. The crystal frame, final, sun bust pendulum, case appointments and stylized feet, are cast brass, patinated to resemble aged dore. Franz Hermle 151-080 half and hour strike pendulum movement. Companion pedestal utilizes same burl veneer, with French bow and flowers occupying the center area of the pedestal. Mask, caryatids, and edging are the same patinated brass as the clock decorations. Pedestal is 8 1/4" thick x 15 1/8" wide x 42 3/4" tall. Winding key included

  Condition

  Very good overall. Clock has impulse but will only run for a short period. Chimes engage in preset and strike mode, but double hammers do not strike. Chime click does not always engage.
