• Lot Description
  A modern rendition of an 18th century mechanism, being popular amusements of the affluent. The moral behind the caged bird, is living the life of luxury, without the freedom to escape expectations. A typical situation for royalty, the need to always present a proper showing. A mechanical wound spring driven non regulated mechanism, will cause the genuine feathered depiction of a European Finch to chirp and wag it's tail, as long as the slider switch is open and the spring is wound. No markers mark found. Most probably 1950's German export.
