Consisting of 13 pieces, each has a white ground with cobalt blue and gilt rim, center of each depicting hand pirated in polychrome bucolic landscape scenes, plates - 9" each, and the three cake stands / comports have names painted on the bottom: Loch Achrane, Hurstmonceaux Castle, and Gwynn Castle (these seem to be misspellings of Loch Achray in Scotland and Herstmoncaux Castle in England), two stands - 9-1/4"x. 2-3/4" and taller one - 9-1/8" x 4-3/8".
Provenance: prominent private collection, Pittsburgh, PA, since early 20th century, by descent in the family to the current owner.
Condition
Overall very good antique condition, some wear to gilt, one plate with craquelure to glaze, one plate with chip to the foot rim, a few old flea bite to foot rims on others commensurate with age and use.
