  Woven tapestry depicting a classical scene with Alexander then Great and attendants, centered around a seated figure within a draped tent. The composition is framed by a decorative border in gold and blue tones. Colors in muted shades of teal, beige, brown, and ivory. Offered with Neo-Classical carved wood with gesso and gilt finials (accompanied the lot, but not attached - for easier shipping/transportation matters). Ca. 1900's

  Areas of wear and age-related fading consistent with period examples, some areas with loose threads and losses, finials with some wear.
