• Lot Description
  A fine example of 19th-century sterling silver craftsmanship, this elegant beaker features a gently flared form with a smooth, polished surface. The front is engraved with the monogram "LAN" beneath a royal crown, suggesting it may have been presented as a royal gift or commemorative piece. The crowned cipher is a hallmark of nobility or aristocratic provenance, possibly from a European royal family or court. Minerva in 925 cartouche on the side. Maker's mark features a serpent and initials EFR; overall weight 7.8 toz. Beakers of this style were commonly used as drinking vessels or presentation gifts for notable occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, or state visits.
