  An Asmat carved wood canoe prow board (wuramon), Papua New Guinea, featuring a carved openwork finial with interlocking oval and circular cutouts surmounted by a domed terminal, with fiber fringe attachments at the junction of the finial and board. The opposite end terminates in a small carved human head.

  Significant age-related wear, patina, and surface weathering consistent with use and age.
