• Lot Description
  An early 20th century Austrian cold-painted spelter figural table lamp in the Vienna manner of Franz Xavier Bergman, modeled as a Middle Eastern domed pavilion or sultan's tent with pierced green and red arched windows to the onion-form dome, the four draped and tasseled curtains pulled back to reveal an interior orientalist harem scene comprising a standing dancing girl with arms raised, a robed attendant, and a low Moorish-style table set with a coffee pot and vessels, all on a stepped square plinth naturalistically cast as a tiled masonry floor. Electrified with single socket beneath the dome, the pierced windows designed to cast decorative light patterns when illuminated. Unmarked.

  Condition

  Good. Scattered losses to the cold-painted polychrome finish, most visible to the base and tent highlights with grey spelter body showing through; red pigment drips to the base stones. In working condition.
