The upper left portion contains Chinese calligraphy: "A brief scroll fails to frame Jiangnan's grace. Thread-like willows shroud the distant mountain's trace. / Sunset lingers low, while dusk winds lift the veil. Village boats glide where spring tides prevail. (Note: Jiangnan refers to the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.) / Created by Zhao Shanqi on Zili Peak of Mount Yaoshan. (Note: Mount Yaoshan may refer to the mountain located in Jinan of Shandong province, or Qiaojia County of Yunnan province.)"
Several red seals (chops) are present: "Hu (a Chinese family name) / tree / Home near west of Qiao (Note: Qiao may refer to Qiao County of Hebei province.)"
Condition
Good overall, some undulation to paper, stains tom upper left corner, some wear to frame.
