  Whimsical Continental carved and polychrome-painted figural side table, 19th/early 20th century, in the form of a costumed monkey standing upright on a tasseled cushion base, holding a shaped and faux-marble painted top above his head. The figure is finely carved with expressive detail, wearing a turban and vest, with well-articulated limbs and textured fur.
