• Lot Description
  Neo-Classical theme, oil on canvas, a preparatory work for a larger painting, unsigned (though signed in ink "Eug. Delacroix" in 19th c. cursive on then stretcher back), unframed. Provenance: Gary Sheldon Grimes Estate private collection.

  Condition

  Good overall, possibly relined, some wear and losses, craquelure, old professional restoration with sporadic in-painting visible under UV light.
