A rectangular tobacco box with a stepped cover showing a depiction of Minerva, Goddess of war and wisdom, framed by Etruscan key design. Bears faint mark of eagle, possibly indicating manufacture in one of the German states. Most likely .800 silver. Highly hand engraved English sterling snuff box, bearing date mark for Birmingham 1915. Total weight is 4.46 Troy ounces.
