• Lot Description
  D.P. Shenfelder stoneware jugs, produced in Reading, Pennsylvania, from approximately 1860–1900, are highly collectible 19th-century American pottery, featuring distinctive brushed cobalt blue floral or tulip designs. These salt-glazed piece bears an impressed "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING, PA 1-1/2" stamp and are noted for their ovoid shapes and expert decoration. Provenance: old private collection, Ligonier, PA.

  Good, some staining and time toning commensurate with age and use.
