• Lot Description
  Carved banded agate scarab, the stone with caramel, chocolate-brown and milky white banding, the back worked with the division of the wing cases and a hatched border to the head and prothorax, the base plain and polished. Pierced lengthwise and strung on a modern black cord with sliding knot.

  Condition

  Good. Stone intact, with no visible chips, cracks or losses; surfaces smooth and highly polished, the carving to the back shallow in definition. Base uninscribed. Modern cord sound.
