• Lot Description
  Cast in the round, this elegant hollow bronze figure represents the goddess Bastet in the form of a seated cat, with forepaws neatly aligned and tail curling forward along the right side. The feline features a finely modeled head with alert, upright ears—one adorned with a modern hoop earring—slightly recessed eyes, and subtle traces of incised whiskers. The surface exhibits a mottled green patina typical of age and burial conditions. The underside is open, revealing the hollow cast. Likely once placed on a wooden or stone base as part of a votive or funerary context.
