• Lot Description
  Figural table lamp, the patinated cast-metal standard modeled as a nude female acrobat in a backbend, her head and loose hair resting against a stepped square base cast with stylized fan and geometric borders, her legs raised vertically to support an embossed ball knop and shade fitter. Fitted with a spherical pressed glass shade of diamond-point form in mottled red, orange, yellow and white. Pull-chain socket, cloth-covered cord.

  Condition

  Good. Glass shade intact, without chips or cracks; scattered small bubbles and inclusions inherent to manufacture, fitter rim sound. Cast metal with rubbing and loss to the patina at the high points of the legs, drapery and base edges, exposing lighter metal beneath, and scattered dark spotting. Underside with verdigris at several points along the rim and the felt largely absent. Oxidation within the socket cup. Cloth-covered cord with two-prong plug; rewiring recommended before use. Illuminates.
