• Lot Description
  Hand-knotted Heriz Bakhshayesh-design carpet, the sage-green field with a diagonal lattice of flowering plants and blossoms in apricot, brown, gold and ivory. Broad camel-ground main border of palmettes and rosettes on a leafy vine, within a madder-red border of scrolling vine and multiple guard stripes; a signature cartouche woven into the border at one end. Wool pile on a cotton foundation, with fringe at both ends.
