• Lot Description
  The Parentesi was named for the parenthesis symbola visual reference to the nickel-plated shaped tube that lives on a floor-to-ceiling steel cable, it has all its parts with black enamel finish. The steel cable was adjusted to an 8’ length, and the tube allows the lamp head to move vertically along the cable to achieve a customized height. The head fixture is injection-molded black elastomer, equipped with a switch. No bulb, which can be acquired directly from Flos (photo - for just visualisation). Provenance: prominent private collection, Pittsburgh, PA, since early 20th century, by descent in the family to the current owner; purchased from Knoll in San Francisco in 1985 or 1986.

  Condition

  Good, no bulb; some wear to finish commensurate with age and use; it has all its parts, the steel cable was adjusted to an 8’ length. It can be sold as is or the cable could be replaced with the original 13’ cable, available directly from Flos.
