• Lot Description
  A finely cast and expressive cold-painted bronze figure of a monkey, depicted seated and holding a green fruit. Executed with exceptional detail in the textured fur, facial expression, and hands, and enriched with naturalistic polychrome highlights. Signed with the Bergman foundry mark—a “B” within a handled urn—and stamped "Geschützt" to the underside. A superb example of the Vienna bronze tradition, c. early 20th century.

  Very good overall; minor paint wear and expected patina with areas of green oxidation to the base.
