• Lot Description
  A medieval manuscript leaf on vellum, likely from a choir book, featuring a highly decorative historiated initial O. The letter is painted in vivid pigments of blue, red, and green with gold leaf, accented by delicate penwork flourishes in red ink. Surrounding text executed in bold Gothic script in brown ink. Under glass in a gilt frame, overall 10-1/2" x 9".

  Condition

  Expected toning and handling wear; scattered surface marks and faint creases consistent with age. Not examined out of frame.
