Japanese Satsuma vase, likely Meiji period or later, featuring twin stylized dragon-form handles and offered with a carved hardwood stand. The body is adorned with dense gilt and polychrome enamel decoration, centering on the traditional “Thousand Faces†motif with countless expressive figures radiating in circular formations. Surrounded by floral medallions and intricate gold brocade patterns. Marked to the underside, with wooden stand.
Condition
Very good overall, no chip or cracks, some wear to gilt; natural distress lines to the stand.
