  Depicting an elderly bearded scholar reading an open folio, after an Old Master composition. Finely hand-painted in enamels with soft tonal modeling and atmospheric background. Impressed KPM mark and numerals to reverse. Housed in an ornate giltwood frame, overall 17" x 14-1/4".
