• Lot Description
  Elegant 19th century lady’s writing desk featuring a distinctive curved top. Crafted from richly figured wood with intricate marquetry and adorned with ornate gilt bronze (ormolu) mounts in Rococo revival motifs. The top drops opens to reveal a fitted interior with small drawers and compartments, and a leather writing surface with tooled edges. Raised on cabriole legs.

  Condition

  Losses to veneer throughout with old repairs, cracking and wear to leather top, natural distress lines to wood consistent with age, some replacement screws.
