• Lot Description
  Parlor wall mounted storage cabinet in Black Forest style, with the closed storage door opening to three 6 3/4" x 12 1/16" shelves. Highly carved in a floral and leaf motif on the center panel, with leaf type carving of the rails of the door. The main body sports diamond edging on the flanks, with single line incused tulip motif on the top and bottom edge. Two small shelves flank the main body off the door's centerline, as well as two shelves are formed from the bottom of the main body meeting the back board The back board of the exterior shelves, are decorated in leaf and floral floral motif, created by single stoke incusing. The Top of the cupboard, feature a skeleton diamond cornice, with ball on column corners. The top back board is cut into a decorative pattern, with a three letter monogram within a stippled field.The bottom back board is cut away in a scroll manner, with a stylized center support gusset. The key features a horizontal ward, which helps date the installation and manufacture. The wood is fine grined and appears to be possibly walnut. Mounting holes are inside the enclosed area. Interior movable loose shelves rest on supports that can be adjusted up and down, on a notched raceway.
