• Lot Description
  A traditional Navajo textile featuring a strong geometric layout with two stacked motifs in a configuration suggestive of the Storm Pattern design. The palette is composed of natural and aniline-dyed shades of brown, beige, gray, ivory, and black. The stepped motifs and central axis evoke symbolic associations with harmony, balance, and connection to nature in Navajo cosmology. While not a strict representation of the classic Storm Pattern, this rug bears regional hallmarks, possibly from the Two Grey Hills or Teec Nos Pos areas, known for their technical precision and muted color schemes.
