• Lot Description
  Chinese carved rosewood armchairs, each with a shaped crest rail surmounted by dense openwork carving of scrolling foliage and stylized dragon motifs. The backs feature circular marble panels with dramatic natural veining, framed by curvilinear supports and pierced spandrels. Broad, scrolling arms terminate in carved handholds above solid plank seats, fitted with loose cushions. The aprons are deeply carved with scrolling and floral motifs, raised on cabriole legs ending in claw-and-ball feet, joined by stretchers.
