• Lot Description
  Persian miniature painting depicting an amorous couple seated under a grapevine. A bearded older man in a white turban and olive coat embraces a young woman wearing a tall pointed crown and a long brown robe with a blue sash. Stylized grape leaves and clusters above rendered in gold pigment. Mounted with a gilt mat and housed in a wood frame with a khatam-style geometric micro-mosaic border, overall 14-1/4" x 11-7/8".

  Condition

  Loose in the frame, some wear to pigments.
