  Philip and Kelvin LaVerne "The Spring Festival" coffee table with waterfall sides, custom made to order in 1978, original partial label attached underneath; burnish bronze, silvery pewter and polychrome enamel top with subtle touch of lapis blue patina, acid-etched and carved Asian motif (The Spring Festival: The ancient Chinese festival welcoming the coming of the season of renewal, intricately sculptured this most inspirational celebration honours the Ming Dynasty Emperor's child and heir in the city of Pien, circa 1368), raised on four legs, signed on the top surface. Provence: old private collection of Ms. Dolores Guarini (in marriage Mrs. Allen Mandel), acquired through Marforth Showrooms, Pittsburgh, PA, by direct customer orders to Philip La Verne galleries ltd., in 1978.
