• Lot Description
  A fine and rare ancient Roman glass cameo depicting a female figure in profile, draped in classical robes and holding a palm frond, a symbol often associated with victory or peace. The figure is rendered in white opaque glass over a translucent amber-brown ground, skillfully worked in high relief. The back shows typical wear and encrustation consistent with archaeological age. Roman glass cameos of this type are exceptionally scarce, admired for their artistry and technical sophistication.
