• Lot Description
  A rectangular giltwood wall mirror in the Rococo Revival taste, richly carved with deeply undercut scrolling acanthus leaves and foliate ornament throughout the frame. The crest and apron feature C-scrolls and leafy cartouches, while the inner molding is accented with a beaded and stylized egg-and-dart border. Finished in a warm, burnished gilt with areas of subtle wear consistent with age and handling. Likely Continental or American, late 19th to early 20th century.

  Condition

  Newer mirror plate, some cracks consistent with age. Losses and old repairs.
