• Lot Description
  Hand-knotted wool carpet. The rug features a cream field with an allover trellis of stylized floral motifs centered by a lobed medallion in shades of turquoise, olive, and rust. The wide main border is decorated with alternating cartouches and palmette panels, flanked by narrow guard stripes in complementary colors. The palette includes soft gold, rust, blue, green, and ivory with knotted fringe ends. Indo-Persian, Bicentennial Commemorative Rug, 1976.
