• Lot Description
  Stacked Faux Book Form box, Italy, mid-20th century, designed as five oversized volumes with painted spines titled Balzac, Dante, Hawthorne, Goethe, and Shakespeare. Each “book” with hand-painted marbled sides and gilt-decorated lettering, the hinged top “cover” conceals storage. Retains “Made in Italy” and Gumps label.

  Condition

  Some surface scuffs and oxidations. Good.
