Three small jade plaques in honey-brown and buff stone: a rectangular plaque with notched sides incised on both faces with archaistic masks and scrollwork; a lockplate-form plaque surmounted by an openwork fruiting branch above a shaped panel incised with archaistic motifs; and a circular plaque pierced and carved with a crane among lingzhi within a beaded border.
Condition
Very Good. All three plaques intact, with no cracks or repairs observed and the openwork elements complete. Minor nicks and small chips to the edges, chiefly to the scalloped lower edge of the lockplate-form plaque and the beaded rim of the circular plaque. Surfaces lightly abraded with dirt in the incised lines, and the polish dulled overall. Dark and russet mottling is natural to the stones. Not professionally tested.
