• Lot Description
  "Happy Frog", hollow cast bronze with verdigris patina, with the artist's monogram on the leg. Attached to wood platform base with engraved metal plaque with title and artist. McVey studied at Rice University; 4 years at Cleveland Institute of Art; Acads Colarossi Scandinave in Paris and the Academy de la Grande Chaumiere. He served as head of the sculpture Department at the Cleveland Institute of Arts and was a guest professor at The Ohio State University. McVey was a member of the National Academy of Design and an Elected Member of the National Sculpture Society.
