Boston Tea Party participant signed document by Thomas Melvill (Melville), September 13, 1815. Major Thomas Melvill (1751-1832) was a close friend of John Hancock and participated in the famous protest when he was 23 years old. After the Revolutionary War he was an officer in the US Navy in Boston from 1786 to 1789 and later from 1811 to 1829.
Framed with an etching, Destruction of the tea in Boston Harbor.
The frame measures 14 x 14 inches.
