JANE LINCOLN March 23, 2020
8" x 10" x 1"
Donated by Artist
This work is in the artist's new series “Quarantine Diary." Inspired by Roy Lichtenstein's Perfect/Imperfect series, Lincoln designed an image on graph paper. Each day she traced the month’s design with a marker on archival polyester film. Her color choices for each drawing are based upon weather, mood, and observations. March 23, 2020 marks the day Governor Charlie Baker issued an emergency order to close all non-essential businesses, limit gatherings to 10 people, and issued a stay-at-home advisory.
Jane Lincoln holds an MFA from Mass College of Art & Design. She is listed in Art in America and Who's Who in American Art as well as exhibited at over fifty museums and galleries. www.janelincoln.com
