(lot of 2) Fine Portuguese silver filigree table articles, each having red and white enameled Maltese cross motifs, on intricate scrolled ground, including: (1) sterling silver card box or cigarette case, central applique surrounded by radiating scrollwork, hinged cover, hallmarked sterling Portugal with overlapping VC at lid interior, approx 3 5/8"h, 2 3/8"w, 1"d; (1) silver (content unknown) model of a sailing galleon or caravel ship, with raised sails and rigging, on integral stand, apparently unmarked, approx 6.5"h, 7"w, 1.75"d; 197 grams total (inclusive of all materials) **Provenance: Dallas, Texas: When the madness of collecting collides with connoisseurship**
