Syrian carved hardwood corner cabinets, 20th c., pierced hamsa pattern crest, elaborately carved throughout with scrolling foliates and crosshatching, accented by mother-of-pearl inlay and spindled panels, mihrab-form niches revealing two fixed shelves, over dual cabinet doors with open storage interior, on straight legs, approx 72"h, 27.25"w, 16"d
Condition
CR 7.3.25-In my opinion regarding LOT 3254: I note that both cabinets stand sturdy and appear structurally secure throughout, both having evidence of water damage at the lower back paneling, which is visible from the interior of lower cabinet but remains stable and secure, one of the cabinet doors lacking a knob but is still accessible, I observe a minor loss at the end of hamsa pattern crest, both with some typical minor splits near cornice, the inlay is overall well-preserved, and the shelving appears sturdy, the hardwood with inherent tonal variations, and a minute amount of typical minor surface wear such as light nicks and abrasions commensurate with age and use
