(lot of 56) Hand-painted glazed pottery dinner service, JMB Talavera, Mexico, with blue decorated ground and polychrome floral motifs, including: (15) dinner plates, approx 11.75"diam; (12) salad plates, approx 10 1/8"diam; (14) bread and butter plates, (one) in mismatched blue and white pattern, approx 8 1/8"diam; (8) scalloped rim plates, approx 8.25"diam; (2) bowls, approx 2.5"h, 5 5/8"diam; (3) molcajete bowls, approx 2.5"h, 4 7/8"diam; (1) creamer, approx 4"h, 3 5/8"diam; (1) sugar bowl with lid, approx 4 5/8"h, 3"diam; 77.25lbs total **Provenance: from a prominent San Antonio, Texas estate**

07.15.25: In my opinion regarding LOT 2350: Upon reviewing this service set, it was found that one of the fourteen bread and butter plates is of a mismatched pattern in a blue and white colorway, I have included an image of this varied plate for reference, close examination of all pieces comprising the set reveals one bread and butter plate with a chip to rim (see image), one dinner plate with a couple minute chips to the foot ring (see images), and one dinner plate with a central firing flaw, the underside of this plate has a minute hairline extending from the small inherent flaws (see images, circled in red for reference), and one bowl with a minute chip to the foot (see image), overall the glazed decoration is well-preserved and free from observed crazing, with a few scattered minor glaze skips, and typical light opacity variations of the cream-ground at the underside inherent to glaze application process, I observe a minute amount of typical minor surface wear related to use, such as the sparse occurrence of minute, light abrasions commensurate with use
